Catchup...take me out to the ballgame!

We also enjoyed some baseball at home this summer.  In August, we took the kiddies to a Lakeland Tigers game - they LOVED it, much to our surprise.  William & Hayla both were dancing in the aisles, and yelling "ball".   By next summer, they are really going to love going!

Catch up...Dallas

In July, Kent and I flew out to visit our friends Ben & Devyn just two weeks before she was due to have their first child.  Turns out, she delivered the following weekend - I told Kent we should have just stayed longer!!  But the boys had actually planned this trip - and had planned it around the Tampa Rays baseball schedule.  These two love the Rays with all their hearts I believe, and so we went to both the Saturday night (the 4th of July) and the Sunday game.  It was hot...I can't believe Devyn endured!  We had a great time with the Howell's, of course, as they entertained us with good Texas cooking, sports, and attractions.

Catch up...Kent's 30th Birthday

I must apologize for my lack of blogging, but we've just been having too much fun!
For Kent's 30th birthday (in June!), I surprised him with a hot air balloon ride!  I think he was a bit nervous at the annoucement the evening before, but he finally went to sleep and was ready that morning.  It was really cool.   We quietly floated over citrus groves, pastures, golf courses and even I-4!  We finished out the day by hosting a party to celebrate with all of our friends & family- we are truly blessed with so many wonderful people in our lives!

Change, Baby, Change

I'm sorry for my lack of blog posts this summer, but we've been quite busy and now I can tell why! I've branched out to start my own design firm - we opened the office doors August 1st, and are getting quite settled in. Now that the dust has settled a bit, I promise to have plenty of pictures & stories of baby W very soon!

Farm Visit

Last month, W and I traveled up with Mom, Dad, Haley & Hayden to our farm in North Alabama over the Memorial Day weekend. It was a great weekend of R&R, spending time with our family.
We arrived late that Friday evening, so W didn't even know where is was when he woke up. When dad told him to look out the window and look at the cows, he almost lost his breath he was so excited! He'd never seen them in 'real life'. So later, they had to go see them even closer.

Each Memorial Day weekend, my mom's family has a reunion - so all the Yeager's got to see W. Here he is with my PawPaw Yeager.

The rest of the weekend we spent hanging out at the farm, and letting W explore! Dad took him to see a real truck - even cranked it up for him and took him for a ride! I've never seen him so excited! Here is his saying, "look these trucks have my name on them!"

Florida is the Sunshine State, right?

It's been raining all week - ugh. Typical of the Florida summer season, which I always find ironic for the tourists who chose to bless us with their presence this time of year. They save up their money to visit Mickey Mouse and the like, and it rains on them the entire time - so sad!

Anyway, last week it was actually sunny, so Kent and I took William for an evening stroll. W's good at pointing out all the chhrucks (that's trucks) and burds (birds) along the way.

I thought I'd share the pix of him in his cool shades....he looks almost as cool as his Uncle Kip, don't you think?

By the way, Happy Birthday Uncle Kip and Papa Hooten!
